DCF Incompetence

A recent motion was filed against a parent client to require her cooperation with DCF, alleging that she was not completing home visits or allowing access to the children.

Due to communication tracking, our office was able to put together all communication with the assigned social worker to prove that DCF was the cause for the breakdown. The motion was withdrawn based on this information, avoiding an extension of DCF involvement.

Over a Year in Foster Care

A family was reunified this week after 17 months in foster care.

DCF Errors

Recently, Levine Litigation helped a family after having their children removed. While preparing for trial, Levine Litigation attorneys were able to find errors and omissions in documentation that resulted in the state settling and returning the children home to their parents the day of trial.

Further Fact Finding

A mother was accused of harming her child after the child's appendage was caught in the slat of his crib by a hospital. An investigation was done by the Department of Children and Families. Our team helped this family gather evidence of the contrary, and ultimately helped keep this family intact. DCF closed their case with no further investigation needed after 2-3 months.

Immigrant Family

A Spanish-speaking father had a hard time being heard and understood. Our team became his voice to help bring the children home to him after establishing appropriate housing.
